Munich, Germany: BMW Museum

I had to draw this car from three different angles...here's the first. The only benches in the museum fold down from the wall and trigger a recording. When you sit and sketch you inevitably listen to the same recording over and over again...until you can pretty much recite it. Julie and I  don't speak any German, but we deciphered the German one over the course of a drawing.

Munich, Germany: BMW Museum

It came as a surprise to many, but we did spend a day at the BMW Museum drawing cars. I'm rather pleased with a number of the drawings, cars not being something I generally draw.

Fussen, Germany: Hohenschwangau

I found a photo I was able to take of one of the heaters! This one was rejected for use in Neuschwanstein for being a bit too ornate, but it's a good example of what was actually installed (though the colors on most of the others tended to be less garish).

Fussen, Germany: Hohenschwangau

A Bavarian hunting lodge. It has some of the most incredible ceramic heaters I've ever seen. Unfortunately, the tour moves at a swift pace and there's no time to draw and no photography allowed. I think by the end of the day, Julie was ready to kill me for saying, "Look at the heater!" I blame it on being an architect's daughter.

Prague, Czech Republic: Mucha Museum

While the museum itself was nice, they had the worst postcard selection I've ever seen, as in one postcard of Mucha's work, depicting a painting that wasn't even on display. Simply pitiful. We were only in Prague for two days, and I'd love to go back and see the Cubist Museum and the Decorative Arts Museum (which we didn't have time for).
